I have mixed emotions on this one as with anything people can become overly obsessed and addicted, I do know several people who either as young adults or parents of teens who dealt with a problem with excessive game playing. To the point where jobs were lost or grades seriously degraded and when the game playing was taken away they did go through withdrawl symptoms...
Yet, Wired is reporting The AMA says more research is needed. It's an interesting article, that I recommend reading...
