I would rely on my girl scout training to survive...

The challenge? How would I survive if I were stranded in a City were I had no friends. Having spent years as a Girl Scout and then later in life wilderness backpacking in my before children days, such a task is not daunting. It's even easier now with the many places you can go online for free, I would check for traveler's organizations since many provide free services for those stranded without money. If no such place was available, I'd use one of my best attributes...my personality! Even if I was trapped in a land where English was not spoken there are ways to communicate basic human needs.

Having spent some time helping the homeless I've learned from their experiences, shelter is easily created if some cardboard can be found. Public bathrooms a good place to do a quick freshen up, almost every city has a soup kitchen and if not? I know from my hiking and girl scout days which greens found along the road are edible, dandelion salad as one example, or in the more fall season nuts or if necessary? I've heard bugs are a high source of protein.

Starting June 28th Michael Weston from USA Network's Burn Notice will show you how he can survive a similar fate. Will he be as creative as me? Will he forage for dandelions and nuts? Tune in to find out...
