No...not the easy bake oven!

Something I remember owning, being one of the first on my block to have and something my children also each owned and enjoyed was an Easy Bake Oven. The oven has made many changes since it's creation, now supposedly safer than it was when I first baked cookies and cakes decades ago. Yet, the news today states that One million Hasbro toy ovens recalled because 77 children were reported burned by the latest design of the Easy Bake Oven. It really makes me wonder if a) parental supervision is happening since you shouldn't be letting a child use a product like this alone and b) what they did to the design to create 249 reports of children getting their hands caught, 77 reports of burns and one girl had a finger partially amputated, the CPSC said. My Easy Bake Oven and the design my children used did not seem to be capable of such injuries.
