Everybody lets Foonz tonight...

I can see several cool uses for a new service out there called Foonz. It's similar to what is offered now by paid companies to do conference calling and the concept of three way calling where you have the ability to talk to more than one person at a time.

From a personal family aspect it would save on three way calling fees, which we had to disable as a feature here on our phone since my youngest daughter was known to over use to the point of running up one heck of a phone bill prior to our move here. I can also see the potential in a recent health scare situtation with my mother in law, this would have given all of the family members the ability to talk at one time about what was going on with her. Especially since not all of us live in the same area of the country. My son's best friend is in the Air Force and is stationed in Germany now after serving time in Iraq. This would be a cool feature to use for all of us to be able to talk with him since him trying to coordinate calls when we will all be here is difficult.

From a blogging perspective, while I don't get into politics on this blog, I am very involved in politics on my other two blogs. This would create the possibility of doing our own conference call type scenarios to discuss breaking news or even approaching legislation that would be much easier than emailing back and forth or having several individual phone calls trying to relay what the previous person had stated.

I can also see how this could be possible to do with local politicans, where we could get several or even one in on the call to answer questions. What's best of all is not only is this service is free and all you have to do is Sign up for free at the foonz web site.

This site is one I've not only bookmarked but plan to use in the very near future so I'll let you know how it goes...
