While profits are down and sales in some sectors are sagging, Ford made the decision to bring back the name "Taurus" in today's business news. Personally I have never jumped for joy when any of the American car makers have brought back names. Take my all time favorite car, the Road Runner, when Plymouth brought it back as nothing more than a Volare with a Road Runner horn and a few stickers I wasn't impressed. Same with the Challenger, that is not a Challenger...Part of the problem with the American aumotive industry is it doesn't matter what the name is, the focus should be more on fuel economy and the price, if you create that? They will buy almost anything...well except maybe a remake of the Edsel...
