Make sure to take that phone tax credit!

I had read about this, so I made sure when I filed our taxes that I took the defunct telephone tax that we were eligible for. Amazingly enough, according to this AP News article, large numbers of tax payers are not taking this credit. It's very easy to do and the online service that I used for free as found thru a partner link on the IRS website had this listed as a part of doing our taxes.

The article reports:

The agency said more than 10 million early filers did not request the telephone tax refund, which is worth $30 to $60 if taxpayers apply for the standard refund amount set by the IRS. It noted that nearly half of those returns were completed by tax preparers.
