They don't have tornado sirens?

I have to admit for me what was shocking was not this report from Anderson Cooper's blog on a weatherman having his mom report on the tornado's last night in Florida it was this:

Most of Central Florida does not have tornado sirens.

Here in my part of Ohio, we not only have them but they get tested once a month to make sure they work. It's hard to believe that with the number of tornado's that Florida has that they don't have a tornado warning siren system. Imagine had that reporters mom not been one of the lucky ones - they would have had no idea there was even a tornado coming. That to me should have been the real story...
