"The Ultimate Gift" to be released on March 9th...

I have read the book that the movie, "The Ultimate Gift" is based on so I am looking forward to with mixed emotions to not just the movie but seeing of what is stated gets the attention of more people so that they do follow the theme of what the book tried to promote as a message, "The only way you can truly get more out of life for yourself is to give part of yourself away.” This is the official site of the movie "The Ultimate Gift" and the grass-roots movement its starting to help charities and give to others. Not to turn this into a religious discussion but as a Catholic one of the things I believe in is the beatitudes which promote a similar message. It's not what you get but what you give would be another way to describe this belief.

The reason I said mixed emotions is there is always a difference between the book and the movie, and I hope that the movie can portray what reading the book did for me as a person. If it can only accomplish half of that thru the acting of Abigail Breslin, James Garner, Ali Hillis, Drew Fuller and Brian Dennehy, I believe it will be a success. Without giving too much away, it sounds as if there are some side stories that were not a part of the book. People are already responding to the screenings though, it's been said that over five million dollars has been raised in charity donations and this is prior to the formal release on March 9th. Sometimes it takes a spark to movitivate people, and I hope that this movie is that spark, and perhaps even this sponsored post might encourage someone as well...
