When I was a first time home buyer, I wish that websites providing information such as these 43 Must-Know Tips (and Resources) for Every First-time Home Buyer would have existed. We had to struggle thru the hard way and learn from the mistakes that we made. While the article at the sponsor of this post, Mortgage Lowdown entitles this as "43 Must know Tips", the reality is it is many more than 43, especially if you take advantage of some of the linked material that they provide. It is a very well put together resource site and I would feel comfortable highly recommending it to anyone looking to buy their first home. I also liked the fact that they did interject some humor into some of the items listed, such as "10. Shop for a loan OR Don’t Marry the First Person that Proposes"; not only did that make me smile? But it's also very true...
