Making an illegal profit from history...

I was very unhappy to read that an intern who was working at the National Archives stole about 165 Civil War documentsthen sold them on eBay, according to this AP News piece. Thankfully he's been caught and is now working with authorities to help recover most of the items, but I couldn't help thinking what would have happened had he not been caught. All those historical items could have been lost to us forever. It also goes to show they might need to increase security at the National Archives if someone, especially an intern can manage to steal that many documents and sell them before it's noticed....
