Portable heater takes chill off in Basement...

I don't purposely keep my 17 year old in the basement, that is where she wanted her room and she has a different idea of what is "comfortable" when it comes to the house temperature. She prefers things much more "toasty" than we do for the rest of the house which necessitates the purchase and general knowledge about portable heaters. We've tried several different types and the most important thing to consider when using a portable heater is safety, the reason most house fires start is not the heaters fault, it's the person who operated the heater not following the directions.
