ReportLinker, a subscription based professional search engine...

As a part of my blogging on my political blog I do a great deal of research which includes looking for market research, it's especially important when discussing some of the more detailed economic development issues to be able to have as much documentation as possible. In the case of ReportLinker, it appears it would be of more benefit to someone who spent more time researching international market research than for my particular needs. A quick check of the information available for Ohio as a part of the free search option did not net anything current. However, the site has just been launched, it's start date is March of 2007, and it does have information from ministries, embassies, and trade unions which means it is a site that bears watching and has potential. They are also looking for professionals interested in joining their beta-testers program, this could give those of you who specialize in market research a great opportunity...

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the info on ReportLinker. I was a little disappointed to find that they require registration and a subscription to access the public reports.

If you're looking for IT-related market research or analyst reports (from Gartner, IDC, Forrester, etc.), I suggest you take a look at vantelo.com. There is no sign-up or fee required to access the reports, but they are focused only on IT subjects.

Best regards.
