Interesting speculation as to will AT&T go looking to buy a satellite company as reported by CNN:
Ma Bell hasn’t made a major acquistion in several months - that’s like eons for AT&T (T) CEO Ed Whitacre. So with AT&T struggling to play catch-up against Verizon (VZ) and big cable companies in the world of video, could a takeover of one of the nations’s two big satellite TV firms be next?
The names tossed around as suggested buys are DirecTV (DTV) or EchoStar (DISH) which could make things interesting if this actually is proven true.
