I've always preferred frozen peas over canned peas, except for canned baby peas which are okay if frozen are too pricey. A bag of frozen peas is also great for injuries when you need a quick ice pack and as today's
Washington Post points out, frozen peas are better:
Freezing not only packs in the sugar but also is extremely effective at retaining the nutrients. Along with their sweet flavor, peas are a good source of folate, vitamins A and C, phosphorus, iron and thiamine. All are preserved.
