Why pay for antivirius software?

While most computers come pre-packaged with some sort of antivirus protection, most of us face the decision when that software expires to either purchase it or to use a free Antivirus software. I recommend checking out the free ones, since I've found the one I use to be very reliable. I realize some people are fans of Norton so for them having the use of Norton antivirus for free as well as some of the other software features listed for download could be of huge interest. The screenshots provided are a nice additional feature that would be especially helpful for new computer users and new users not familiar with Norton.
