Chiquita Brands International Inc plea deal approved.

A deal between Chiquita Brands International Inc., and the Justice Department was accepted by a federal court today with the total fine levied at Chiquita of 25 million dollars. It's stated to be the largest fine thus far levied against an American country related to counterterrorism laws. Ten executives from Chiquita are probably breathing sighs of relief that they are not going to be prosecuted. Chiquita does not deny the money was paid but insists it was done to protect workers and points out that they informed the Department of Justice about some of these deals.
