Recently I've noticed more and more women wearing a pearl necklace when attending some of the recent dressy events I've been too. I still have my great-grandmother's strand of pearls, it's one of the few pieces that no matter how much my daughters beg, they are not allowed to borrow. With it being an older piece with hand tied pearls, I can just imagine what would happen should it break...
