Curriculum disparity...

In many states, including Ohio, there is supposed to be a standardized curriculum that children are taught, yet I've personally discovered there can be a huge difference in what one school teaches versus another within the same community. We experienced this with my oldest child when we discovered that he had some huge gaps in his basic math abilities. Unfortunately by the time we discovered this problem he was experiencing almost failing grades. My youngest daughter has switched schools and because of what I learned as a parent we are taking steps to make sure we use an Innovative Tutor program like Score to make sure that her math skills are at or above her peers.
