So...what will you do with your $13.00?

A friend and I were joking around last night about the stimulus package creating an additional $13.00 a week (on average) and what we would do with it. She would have preferred the amount being given all at once, and I can see her point, it'd be nice to get it in one sum, personally it would really help us right now. Yet, that was tried the last time and people did not necessarily do with the money what had been hoped, some paid bills, but it did not translate into the economic boost that was hoped for.

Giving a smaller amount every week, chances are people are going to spend it. I jokingly stated I might start buying Diet Pepsi again, since that was one of the last things I could cut from our household budget, beyond getting rid of children and pets (smile). After the humor aspect passed, that really is what this is about, people spending more, and maybe, just maybe, an additional influx of that small of an amount of money each week might have an impact.

In the meantime, what are your plans for that extra dough?

You can't live without pets LisaRenee....children, I'm not such an expert on.

Well...the pets are probably cheaper.

Since I'm sitting here trying to work while babysitting a friend of my daughter's baby, pets are also much less time consuming....
