Part of what my goal is in doing what I do here locally is to try to encourage more people to blog. I have one of the most popular local political blogs in my area but for me, it's my readers who make the blog work. Without them and their level of participation the blog would not be such a huge success. Tonight, I got an email from a regular commenter who decided to create his own blog because he was inspired by what I've done. This has happened a few times, and every time it does, that to me is a major accomplishment...It makes me feel as if I have really done something good.
