If you've noticed when you go to click on someone's signature with their URL for their blog and see a strange code before their URL that starts with a: http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?http://thentheirURLHere
You are seeing what some are doing to try to increase their alexa traffic numbers. Does it work? Some say it does, however, from reading what little I have on alexa it only counts the visit from the same IP as one per day no matter how many times it is being done. Yet there are companies out there like this one that claim for $500.00 and up they can "fix" your alexa ranking. I have no idea if they really can do this or not, but it goes to show you first, how unreliable Alexa really is if that is possible and second, how desperate people would have to be to actually pay that much money just to get an alexa ranking...
