Wal-mart decides against banking...

No major details at the moment, this is one of those breaking alerts but it is being announced that Wal-mart has decided to drop it's plan to establish banking operations. As this older MSN Money article points out, Wal-Mart could have had the same effect on banking that they have on retail, and consumers could have benefited. I'll watch for updates on this story as they come in as to why the decision was made to not go forward with full service banking operations.
