I am a fan of Roman shades, and I was before I married someone who has the last name of Roman (smile). Now it's become a family joke but all jokes aside, when I purchase window blinds my first preference is Roman shades, especially since they come in so many options as far as materials. While fabric is of course best for some rooms, I really like the look of bamboo, which for me has proved to be very durable as well as easy to keep clean.
