Radio Shack is again struggling...

It doesn't appear that Julian Day, a turnaround expert hired last year by Radio Shack has been as successful as hoped, he has cut spending closing 387 stores and 25 kiosks in the past year the inability to capitalize on sales of wireless phones has hurt sales numbers. RadioShack still operates 4,443 standalone stores and 752 kiosks. The competition they face from the big box stores coupled with breaking off with Verizon Wireless are the main reasons this has been explained.

Since Day took over, the company has stopped holding conference calls with reporters and analysts after posting results. The earnings release given today did not include any forecast for the upcoming quarter. I don't get what that is supposed to do, it seems to make speculation worse not better...It makes me wonders if Days "days" are numbered...
