A local company recently tried to tell one of my daughters that her check was "lost" and that they had deleted her hours from their system because she had gone to work at a new place of employment. They obviously did not realize that I know that with payroll software this is not possible, that information needs to be saved for tax record purposes. So, after a quick phone call informing them that I knew this wasn't possible? Magically the check "re-appeared".
