Not so keen on keyless entries...

I can see the advantages if you could program your finger print into a keyless lock entry system for your home or your car, especially in this household where people often lose their keys. I don't think the fears of someone cutting off your fingers or stealing your prints is a real concern, let's face it, if they really want in your home, there are easier ways for them to break in. Most break ins happen from someone who doesn't have a key.

My main reservation with the concept of a keyless lock is related to the actual lock itself, with a key whether there is power either by electricity or by battery, it works. I've watched the problems my husband and my daughters have had with their cute little car lock FOB things where they beep to lock and unlock the car. Problem is the huge expense of replacing those things, they don't make it an easy thing to just switch out the battery.

Technology is great, but I would always want a failsafe. While it is very possible that a door lock or a door key can break, most of us have two doors, and for me the most reliable keyless lock entry system would also be one that had a key. Just incase...
