Newsletters still have value...

While very few places send out the traditional printed newsletter anymore, the actual concept of the newsletter still works for a variety of groups; from political to business to even schools/social organizations. What's being done now is people are turning to a variety of different newsletter software to create these emails and rather than print and mail, use a email newsletter tool to use click and email.

There are a variety of different templates, designs and small individual touches that can be added so that the emailed newsletter doesn't look like it was thrown together, you can give a polished, professional look without having to hire someone to design an email template for you. The costs for email newsletter software is fairly reasonable with some companies offering a free trial so that you can see how things would work for your particular needs. Considering how far behind I get in my email correspondence, I've actually considered a newsletter, where I could send out in one blast the reasons I've become such a bad correspondent...

Yes, Google hates me the page ranks tell me soo...

Yes, that is sung to the tune of "Yes, Jesus Loves me". Those of you who follow the paid blogging sponsorship model are very well aware that Google has done another update to their page rank system and this time has hit blogs that appear to have any connection to paid blogging. Originally my one blog that was a 6 dropped to a five and now today it's a 3, where my two blogs that I have never done paid reviews on? One jumped to a two and one is holding firm at a 4.

What will most likely happen is yesterday's page rank of 5 will now be comparable to today's page rank of three and a page rank of 6 before? Will now be a four, until the next time when Google decides to switch things around again.

New look for Unrealistic Expectations...

I saw this template and I fell in love with it, because it somewhat matches the theme of one of my other personal blogs, Great Expectations. As a Pisces, I admit to loving most things fish related.

I had to do some tweaking to be able to have my widgets here, but overall? I think it's a much nicer look that the drab plain gray site I had here before. I hope you like it too!

New Design...New Adventures...

Well, I had switched over to the new blogger now that it's not Beta but I had not taken the final step of trying to customize my template under that system. I learned when visiting here using Firefox that my template that I was using that I really loved, didn't show up leaving this blog looking kind of blah and uninviting for those of you who visit who don't use IE. The options with Beta are limited as far as template design but it is easier with the drag and drop to play around with colors and the sidebar. It did make me realize though that I don't want to change Liberal Common Sense since I love that template. This also helps me be able to give advice better to those who have started blogging and are using the new system blogger has for customizing blogs. Hopefully those of you who visit will like this as opposed to what you saw before.
