This is the time of year when men all over the world wonder what to buy their wife, their girlfriend, their mother or even their sisters. Today's Sweetest Day, which while not a holiday I celebrate since it's more of a marketing ploy than a real "holiday", yesterday it dawned on my husband and I as we were getting ready to attend a wedding reception for two awesome friends of ours, it had been quite some time since we dressed up and went out as a couple.

The picture doesn't show how happy we were (mainly because it was a huge chore to get my youngest to take the picture for us, you would have thought we were asking for some herculean task) but we did have a nice time last night and while there were quite a few people I knew from my political world there, I tried to be more of a "wife" than a "political blogger" last night.

Don't google what you can't handle

I read that advice in this CNN article about the increase in "googling" information on a prospective date. I agree with the majority of what the article states, especially the caveat of making sure that the person you think you have found information on online really is the same person. In the end someone who wants to conceal something still could but it is amazing the amount of information out there online.

Love does find us...when we least expect it at times

Years ago after my last divorce I wasn't sure if I would ever find anyone again. I resigned myself to not looking for anyone feeling that surviving a break-up was enough of an accomplishment. Yet, little did I know that a man who was my best friend had feelings for me and it turned out to be a very happy ending. This past weekend we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. Things have not been exactly easy during the past 7 years, yet despite everything that was thrown at is, we still kept to the knowledge that it doesn't take money or riches to find Romance For Everyone, something as simple as a picnic lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches shared together in a park can be as much of a romantic moment as lobster and steak at a five star dining establishment. It is truly what is in your heart that matters and not in your pocketbook and that is the type of romance and love I wish for all of you...

I'm not really sure as far as the legalities of what is stated is the World's Largest Database Rating Abusive and Cheating Men. It seems very possible that a woman who is not happy with a relationship could post negative information that wasn't accurate. However, there are some parts of the website that I think are very helpful. Especially some of their advice when it comes to helping women with abusive situations. They also have quite a bit of entertainment items for women to enjoy...
