Many turn to debt relief companies...

With bankruptcy filings at record highs in some parts of the country, many turn to that as a way to achieve debt freedom. Yet, it comes with a price, not just the cost factor but to your credit history, for some that may end up being the option, but how do you decide? When it comes to making the decision that you want to reduce your debt, but you also know you can't afford the minimum payments you are then faced with the decision of where do you turn? There are a variety of consumer credit organizations out there as well as other companies that specialize in Debt Relief with clear differences.

I looked at several companies when broaching this topic, one in particular is Freedom Debt Relief to see what options are out there for people to consider. One of the advantages they seem to have is they appear to have a proven record in negotiating lower payments with creditors. This is an advantage over some of the traditional consumer credit counseling companies out there.

Another plus about Freedom Debt Relief is they take a more consumer oriented approach by offering more than one debt solution, since every customer has different needs they have several options. One of the important things this website stresses that we've personally done is consider credit counseling. It's especially critical when you have experienced a reduction in income to take an honest look at your spending and to make whatever cuts you can to be able to spend down your debt...Another plus is the first ten minute consultation is free...
