When dabbling in stocks, why pay more?

I'm one of those who can only purchase a few shares of stock at one time, though some day I'd love for that to change. It used to be more difficult to be a small stock investor before the days of Online Trading began. Even then though some of the additional fees charged really did not make it worth it, the system was designed for those interested in Stock Trading at a much higher level than I could do.

Now that's also changed and it is possible to find an Online Broker that will work for you whether you are interested in buying one share of stock or a thousand shares of stock. This makes it easier for those of us who have one share stock budgets but dream of one day having a huge portfolio able to not only purchase stocks but benefit from the learning experience. I'd much rather learn to become a more savvy investor in dealing with lower range stocks, and there are growing numbers of those of us out there who are giving it a try thanks to the availability of online trading and online brokers.
