While the delay was put in place before those of us who don't have cable or satellite tv, there is still the actual decision making process that will take place for some of us. Try to use the adapter which some have reported gives less than satisfying results or opt for either purchasing a new digital television or selecting a service like DirectTV. Or of course cable but in most areas, especially ones like mine, cable is really expensive.
The other downside to buying a digital tv and not having a service like Direct TV is you have to buy a new antenna too, your old rabbit ear antenna won't work with a new digital television. Those are not exactly inexpensive so from a cost standpoint, it almost makes more sense to look at your Direct TV Options and cost out which will be better in the long run. It's something we are debating here, and it seems to make more sense to go with satellite....
