Halloween is the one season when you can get away with sending out a Halloween Invitation that makes threats as to what could happen if you send your regrets, like this card, "Regrets only by October 24th only if you have the courage to decline, but we can't vouch that we won't fetch you by sending a lion." Can you think of another holiday besides the Invitation Halloween season when you can say something like that or "if you dare" without people wondering what you are thinking? There are a good number of Halloween Party Invitations offered by places like Cards Shoppe that carry a similar cute saying when it comes to sending regrets that you are not going to attend. If some of us were to get our way when it comes to having a Monty Python Day we could then see invitations that stated if you didn't come we'd turn you into a newt...but until then?
