Apple's new tablet computer...

At this point, my answer to the question asked by Newsweek, The Apple Tablet: Can You Live Without It, would be yes. I can live without it, because most of my internet work is done right here on my home tower or on my work laptop. Yet, an interesting point is raised with the article, what uses will the new tablet end up being what drives most consumers to want one.

The lesson we've learned since then is that even the people who created the iPhone could not have imagined what people would do with the device. Much of the fun of iPhone involves software apps that didn't exist when the iPhone was introduced. Those apps don't come from Apple—they were written by thousands of developers who found inspiration in a new computing platform.
