When you hear or read the word "tension" you probably think of the psychological:
"a state of mental or emotional strain or suspense; or the physical: "the condition of being stretched or strained; but most of the uses of the word tension in our world relate to the: "magnitude of the pulling force exerted by a string, cable, chain, or similar object on another object. It is the opposite of compression." There are tension rods, tension control bolts and a variety of other mechanical/engineering uses.
There are even different terms for some of these items like tension control bolts are also known in that industry as tc bolts and they play an important role in many manufacturing and other operations.
It could be said, that's a good kind of tension...
