Strange psychedelic patterns....

I don't watch television very often, however the other night when I turned on our television to try to watch the local news, this strange psychedelic pattern appeared instead of a normal picture. It eventually stopped, but I'm guessing it's a sign that the television might need to be replaced soon. This has created a discussion as to what kind we should get. There are some good deals out there on Samsung HDTV as well as other flat screen television models and types that would take up quite a bit less room that the huge box of a television set our current Samsung is.
