Ohio one of the states wanting sex offender names from MySpace...

MySpace has stated they are taking steps to identify and remove known sex offenders from the popular social networking site, however it appears some Attorney General Offices want the information sooner rather than later. States seek sex offender data from MySpace. According to the CNN article, North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper signed the letter, along with attorneys general from Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

I understand the focus in trying to remove known sex offenders from having access to MySpace but it's also easy to get around, and that really does nothing except identify the ones who are being honest as to who they are. Educating parents and children on the dangers that can be on the net still seems to be the smartest way to prevent a child being abused...
